Sue Hogan believes that all the events of her life have led to the creation of Unison Fetish. After a strict and disciplined upbringing by extreme right wing parents, her choreographic career got off to an award-winning start, when her routine won the California State Championship for her high school pom-pom squad.

Her hot pursuit of unison movement continued when she made her New York debut wearing green feather pasties in the Palm Casino Revue. As a member of the Timeless Torches, a dance squad for the women’s basketball team, the New York Liberty, she performed disco, hip-hop, and heavy metal dance moves for thousands of fans in Madison Square Garden.

After completing a rehabilitation program for severe sugar addiction, Ms. Hogan felt destiny beckoning. Her inspiration came when she saw the throngs of people moving in lock-step unison to mob the Magnolia Bakery and to shop at Marc, Ralph, and Tommy on Bleecker Street near her rent-stabilized apartment in the West Village.

She anointed herself Cadet-In-Chief and choreographed Unison Fetish for the Cupcake Cadet Corps with the help of grants from Dance Theater Workshop and Lower Manhattan Cultural Council. The Cupcake Cadets were successfully deployed three time in 2008-09.
